The Artistry Of ROMANCE DE L’ART NOUVEAU

Where the Wave Begins

The allure of the ocean lies not only in its power, but in its paradox—at once chaotic and composed, untamed and eternal. In Katsushika Hokusai’s iconic The Great Wave off Kanagawa, this duality comes to life: a monumental crest threatens the fragile boats below, yet there is no panic, only quiet perseverance.

More than a depiction of nature’s force, the wave becomes a metaphor—for resilience, for the rhythm of life, for confronting the sublime.

It is this tension—between turmoil and tranquility—that inspired Simone Jewels’ latest High Jewellery collection. Through fluid silhouettes, sculptural motifs, and carefully selected gemstones, the essence of the wave lives on—not simply as water, but as emotion, movement, and memory.

Dive into the artistry of ROMANCE DE L’ART NOUVEAU: Hokusai

Sculpting Light and Motion

Gemstone sculpturing brings this collection to life with meticulous artistry. The pieces feature an exquisite palette of oceanic hues—Chalcedony, Sapphires, Emeralds, and the rare brilliance of Paraiba Tourmaline.

Bangle in the making: Sculpted pieces of Chalcedony and waves of Gold await to be assembled onto the bangle structure.

Chalcedony, chosen for its soft translucency, is delicately hand-carved to mimic the ebb and flow of water. This technique, known as gemstone sculpturing, creates organic, curvilinear shapes that echo the sea’s fluidity. Once sculpted, each gemstone is adorned with fine details of Gold and Diamonds, culminating in a breathtaking masterpiece where gems are set within gemstones.

Ocean’s Organic Gems

Embracing the ocean’s gift in its most natural form, this collection showcases the unique beauty of Baroque Pearls—irregular, organic shapes that celebrate nature’s artistry.

Unlike traditional round pearls, Baroque Pearls possess a unique, freeform silhouette, making each one a one-of-a-kind treasure shaped by the sea.

Their fluid curves and lustrous surfaces echo the undulating waves of Hokusai’s masterpiece. An interplay with precious gemstones such as Sapphires, Emeralds, and Diamonds adds depth and intrigue, reinforcing the collection’s theme of movement, elegance, and natural beauty.

An Ode to Fluidity and Form

ROMANCE DE L’ART NOUVEAU is more than a celebration of high jewellery—it is a reverie of nature’s poetry, sculpted into light and form. Just as Hokusai captured the ocean’s eternal dance, Simone Jewels reimagines its spirit through gemstones that move with emotion, shimmer with memory, and embody the duality of strength and softness.

Each creation tells a story—not only of craft and design, but of the sea’s timeless rhythm and the artistry of letting beauty unfold, wave by wave.
